Job Summary:Ensures that usage of Enterprise inventory is
monitored and managed in a manner that minimizes the liability of
having to store large inventories. Tracks inventory turns and
develops policies and procedures that support cost effective
operations and are in compliance with all regulations for inventory
control, general warehousing, and mail services. Manages corporate
archives ensuring that they meet current Records Information
Management (RIM) practices. Manages shredding service function for
SMSC GE and all SMSC businesses. Plan, lead, organize, and manage
Surplus Property and Recycling staff activities and duties.
Promotes and encourages the disposition of surplus property and
recycling material with faculty, staff, and team members. Seeks top
market rates of recyclable material. Promotes departmental reuse of
Surplus Property and encourages the public sales of property that
cannot be reused or donated by the Enterprise. Ensures that the
interface with accounting systems accurately reflects activity in
all above areas. Budget/Asset Responsibilities:Prepares budget and
formal budget projections for Inventory Control and forecasts
capital expenditures. Job Duties:
- Manages inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehousing,
records retention center, and mail room for the entire Gaming
Enterprise. Manages recycling, excess inventory and shredding
process for the entire Gaming and Community Enterprise. Maintain
relationships between business partners affecting and affected by
inventory operations. Create ad-hoc reports as necessary to analyze
inventory levels as well as resolve complex business issues. Works
with purchasing and IT to select vendors for inventory management
purposes. The scope of this position includes $1,000,000 of food
deliveries each month, processing 200 requisitions and 150-200
deliveries throughout the property each day. The incumbent is
accountable for ensuring efficient utilization of storage
facilities, efficient shipping and receiving, an efficient
storage/retrieval system, and efficient internal courier services.
Develops inventory strategies by asset/supplier/sector as well as
short term/long term for inventory disposal.
- Responsible, along with IT, to evaluate and recommend purchase
of inventory management systems. Oversees system implementation and
daily input to the inventory systems. Develop and implement a
robust process for ensuring all transactions are completed at each
location, ensuring data integrity within all inventory systems.
Monitors inventory indicators and reports to top management
regarding implications to cost effectiveness of systems, policies
and procedures. All costs are tracked and reconciled with the
General Ledger. Responsibility includes the wardrobe and slot parts
- Develops, implements, and maintains department policies and
procedures, ensuring efficient operation/guest service; and
compliance with corporate policies and Gaming regulations and
internal control standards.
- Contributes to the Disaster Recovery plan through management of
company records. Sets policies and procedures to retain, track and
destroy Enterprise documents.
- Interviews, selects, hires and promotes team members. This
includes training, developing, performance reviews, and termination
of team members.

- Combination of post-secondary education and experience to equal
seven years in business or related field with at least three years
- Valid driver's license is required with good driving
- Knowledge of records activities, including archiving,
retention, retrieval, and records system design.
