Job Description:

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan (LSS) seeks a dedicated Counselor to join our team in providing comprehensive support services aimed at fostering health, healing, and hope within the community. As a Counselor at LSS, you will work in a supportive environment offering services including addiction support, disaster response, community living assistance, and child and family services. This role demands compassion, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to promoting the welfare of others. Provide direct counseling services and support to individuals and groups. Develop, implement, and review service plans in consultation with clients. Collaborate with other service providers to coordinate client services effectively. Conduct assessments to identify client needs and suitable service interventions. Maintain client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Proficiency in case management software and record-keeping. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent. Certification in Addiction Counseling (optional but preferred).
