• The purpose of this position is to manage the many aspects of development and execution of the production plan for Bachman's Lakeville Container Tree, Shrub and Perennial production to ensure financial results.
• Assist in plan development with internal and external customers.Procure starter plants and related supplies on a timely basis and at an effective cost to ensure timely production of high-quality products. Communicate the production plan on a timely basis to production, merchants and other staff as needed to ensure smooth production processes resulting in on-time delivery of high-quality product.Coordinate the maintenance and reporting of inventory for the Lakeville container production areas to production and merchant teams.
• Assist with cost accounting and development of pricing to ensure financial results.
• Assist growers in the watering, monitoring and chemical treatments of the various crops grown in the greenhouse.
• Maintain environmental controls so as to insure optimal plant health. -QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post secondary degree in horticultural or related field required. -
  • Two years horticultural production experience required. -
  • Two years of business analytics experience preferred.
  • One year purchasing experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Excellent math skills required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills required. Ability to effectively communicate the details of the production plan to internal staff and customers.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with external vendors.
  • Proficient in Excel and other desktop applications. - Desirable experience would include Epicor Eagle software. -BENEFITS:
