Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck on scheduled over-the-road routes. Conduct inspections of vehicle before and after trips, noting any issues. Ensure timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes. Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs. Maintain electronic logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Adhere to company rules and regulations regarding the transportation of goods, ensuring all safety procedures are followed. Proven ability to handle and maneuver the truck and trailer. Strong geographical knowledge or willingness to use GPS and other routing systems. Effective communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff. Ability to maintain composure under pressure, handle unforeseen situations, and meet tight deadlines.
