We are now hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse to fulfill 32 hours per week at our location in Lakeville, MN. Hours can be a mix of daytime and evening hours, plus every other weekend. LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Licensed Practical Nurse for ACR Homes, you will use the skills you have gained through your nursing license, as well as receive any necessary paid training to complete the functions of our position. This will allow you to care for the physical, medical and emotional needs of our residents in a residential group home setting. You will also advocate for the residents on appointments and in the community. In addition to that, you will have the opportunity to assist residents with their activities of daily living and enjoy fun activities together while building genuine friendships. When you are hired as a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be based at a home where you work your shifts. Because we care about providing the best quality patient care, we make sure that the staff to resident ratios stay small, with there being only 4 people with disabilities that live in each group home. Often times, the staffing ratios will be 1:1. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Preparing and administering medications to the residents 2. Using specialized medical equipment 3. Assisting the residents with range of motion, physical therapy, and stretching 4. Helping residents with meals 5. Respectfully assisting with personal cares 6. Aiding residents to meet their personal goals 7. Charting 8. Taking vitals 9. Advocating for residents during doctor appointments, with family and friends, and in the community. Have a valid U.S. driver's license. (Staff who are ages 16 - 17 are excluded from this requirement) 2.
