    Essential Functions:
    * Works with the Unified Work team to advance MDI's vison of employment for all people with disabilities;
    * Creates visibility and increase awareness of Unified Work and business consulting;
    * Develops and secures new opportunities between qualified applicants and employers, and conducts necessary follow-up with businesses and intern/s;
    * Collects and utilizes data using a CRM system for employer information and collects information related to internships and jobs including job requirements, skills, and performance;
    * May assist interns with resume development, interview preparation, and arranges for interviews;
    * Fosters and builds relationships with employers and monitors participant performance on the job, and counsels interns when opportunities for development occur or when job performance is not satisfactory;
    * Monitors trends and variances with the pilot and recommends modifications;
    * Develops and facilitates trainings, workshops, presentations and meetings with businesses and interns/job candidates;
    * Establishes strong employer relations, work opportunities, and partnerships with related service agencies;
    * Provides comprehensive evaluation of employment and training needs;
    * Provides reports as requested to other members of the organization;
    * Provides counseling for participants with employment or educational barriers. May make appropriate referrals to related services.
    * May facilitate group processes including workshops, orientations, and job clubs;
    * Ensures nondiscrimination and equity in the delivery of services;
    * Interacts and coordinates services with other state and local agencies and programs;
    * Cultivate employer outreach, establishing effective relations;
    * Ensures compliance with grant terms, conditions and requirements when required;
    * Engages and collaborates with contractors, outside partners and community organizations to align and coordinate services and resources;
    * Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Requirements:
    * Knowledge of workforce development programs, services, techniques and performance
    Knowledge of various types of disabilities and how to successfully support a person with a disability to seek, secure and retain a job
    * Experience developing and managing contracts
    * Experience coordinating and managing projects. Proven ability to effectively accomplish goals and deliverables and meet deadlines
    * Experience collaborating and maintaining relationships with external partners
    * Strong verbal and written communication skills
    * Initiative to create and develop new processes, procedures and policies when required for MDI or business partners
    * Highly organized with ability to multitask
    * Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality, credibility and professionalism
    * Ability to understand, interpret and follow federal, state and local policies and regulations
    * Ability to work and collaborate with diverse populations
    * Ability to provide guidance and training to a wide variety of audiences TITLE: Workforce
    * Proven ability to apply analytical skills and pay close attention to detail
    * Ability to identify, assess and resolve issues in a timely manner
    * Excellent customer service skills. Ability to respond to requests and manage difficult situations
    * Proven skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    * Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check and clean driving record
    * Satisfactory completion of a drug screening test
    * Verified eligibility for employment in the United States

    Environment and Physical Demands:
    * A traditional work week (M-F) with MDI core hours. Work during non-traditional hours periodically required.
    * Works in a typical office setting which includes;
    o Continuously sit, use of computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard, standard telephone, hearing and talking.
    o Occasionally lift, reach, rotate hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
    * Basic vision is required
    Other:
    * Some travel within the state, limited outside of state.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:
    * None, however, may provide direction, establish priorities, assign tasks and coordinate work projects and the work of other team members.
