President, Sales located in Lakeville, Minnesota.The Vice
President, Sales is a critical member of the leadership team who
will help continue the transition of the Hearth & Home Technologies
(HHT) stove sales organization from a product and channel-focused
company to a customer and consumer-driven organization capable of
achieving breakthrough sales growth targets. - This role will
partner with leaders in marketing and product management to drive
growth across all product categories. - This leader will be
responsible for all stove sales and will have direct support in the
area of member and community relations (human resources), sales
operations, and finance.Primary Responsibilities
- Create, manage and lead the overall sales strategy and
implementation for the stove business unit.
- Clearly establish, communicate and align the organization
behind a customer/consumer driven strategy and ensure that the
alignment delivers commitment, enthusiasm and dedication for the
company direction. - The strategy needs to be focused on driving
profitable top-line sales, grounded in a mix of product, service
and support innovation.
- Ensure the successful delivery of revenue and profit goals by
leading the development and implementation of effective sales plans
that expand the overall market.
- Manage the Key Performance Indicators to have action plans and
process in place to achieve assigned goals. - i.e. Revenue,
Margins, Sales Pipeline, Sales Performance, Unit Dollar Average,
New Product Sales, etc. -
- Influence and assimilate all constituents' (Marketing, Finance,
Supply Chain, Trade Partners, etc.) strategic plans and tactical
priorities, and execute the business unit and trade partner
initiatives to achieve aggressive growth and deliver
customer/consumer satisfaction.
- Partner with key stakeholders (Marketing and Product
Management) to ensure clarity and speed on sales initiatives.
- Partner with Sales Operations on forecasting and sales
compensation strategy.
- Serve as the advocate for the trade partners within the
company. -Generate long term relationships with key trade partners
that makes them a trusted and credible partner to drive
change.
- Manage trade partner conflict with multiple brands in
overlapping geography.
- Create and manage assigned budget for the sales organization.

- Lead the sales leadership and overall sales function to achieve
short and long-term success. -
- Mentor and coach a winning team and create an environment that
gives the individual/team the responsibility and the authority to
achieve growth goals, as well as holding them accountable for
attainment of those goals; implement a fair and equitable
management performance system.
- Champion a diverse and inclusive work
environment.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of
education and experience; -Master's degree preferred
- 15 or more years of relevant sales experience including B2B
selling and navigating a complex organization in B2B sales and
account management
- 7 or more years direct people management in a large sales
organization
- Demonstrated experience that exhibits exceptional all-around
business acumen, expert customer strategy and development and
capability strengthening in B2B environments
- Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, margins, and
understanding of trade partner profitability
- Strong critical thinker with demonstrated strategic and problem
solving skills
- Successful management of large complex sales organizations;
prior responsibility overseeing multiple sales
organizations/channels/silos within a business to align all selling
efforts with overall strategic vision and goals
- Dealer network experience and an understanding of the two-step
selling process
- Demonstrated success in member development, training and
succession planning
- Prior matrix organization experience
- Strong results orientation and sense of urgency
- Expert change agent who challenges current ways-of-working
- Process orientation including use of lean methodology and
