Responsibilities POSITION OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget and scope. The ideal candidate will have experience leading project teams leveraging both waterfall project management methods and Agile frameworks/Scrum as we transform. Responsible for managing several concurrent projects or initiatives that may cross multiple business functions and vendors. The Agile Project Manager may play a number of roles in actual practice, blending more traditional project management and scrum master practices to achieve high quality results. Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets Providing support to the team in clearing obstacles and problem solving Serves as mentor for peers and more junior project managers Ensuring adherence to quality standards and review of project deliverables Works with governance teams to enable new or enhance existing standards, processes and procedures Provides regular project status reporting to IT and project steering committees. Works within PCB project management framework to ensure that all required project deliverables are met. Work with business to determine KPI metrics for project success Leverage Change Management team to effectively communicate key project information to stakeholders throughout the company Transfer ownership of the project product to the Business Partners and IT Business Partner Services group. Transfer technical support of the project product to the IT Service Desk. Electronically file all project documents to at times be used in audit processes. Conduct lessons learned/retrospective activities. Qualifications Education: Minimum BS/BA Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technical field (such as engineering, science). Or equivalent technical experience. Experience: 5+ years related work experience managing IT focused projects. At least 2+ years experience leading large-scale, high impact, systems or process implementations, and/or systems upgrades, to a successful conclusion. Experience with implementing SaaS solutions desired. Familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheets. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize/execute tasks in high-pressure environment. Demonstrated ability in defining complex business problems and working with business partners to identify possible solutions. Demonstrated ability to apply technology in solving business problems. Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives and ability to relate those to technology solutions. Effective working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to multi-task, managing serveral projects simultaneously. Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stake holders. JOB COMPLEXITY Relationships: The Senior IT Project Manager will work with internal and external consultants as necessary to define the project requirements and scope. The Senior IT Project Manager will require little direction from management once the Project is identified and assigned. Internal: As needed, work with the IT Business Systems Analysts and the Business Process Leads, who are responsible for creating the Project Charter (the "why" behind a project), and defining & documenting the Business Requirements (the "what" for the project). As needed, work with the IT Enterprise Architecture & Strategy group, who are responsible for defining and documenting the development standards, and for overseeing the development of strategic systems strategy, and the overall IT architecture. As needed, work with the IT Infrastructure group, who are responsible for the implementation and maintenance of all hardware, networks, operating systems, and telecom solutions. As needed, work with the IT Business Partner Services group, who are responsible for maintaining currently installed systems, and providing day-to-day support of those systems. As needed, work with the IT Computer Controls (Security) group, who are responsible for defining safe & secure IT systems practices, and monitoring & enforcing those practices. External: As needed, work with external customers; for instance, designing processes for exchanging various electronic communications (such as EDI transaction sets, GS1 GDSN interfaces, Excel spreadsheets, etc.) with various trading partners (such as Customers, Suppliers, Freight Carriers, Financial Institutions, etc.), using various protocols (such as via VANs, AS2, FTP, etc.).
