Job Description:
At Cargill, our Manufacturing Technology Senior Engineer plays a
pivotal role in optimizing our engineering processes within the
Food & Beverage sector. This position is crucial for advancing our
mission of nourishing and sustaining the global community by
enhancing production efficiency and product quality. As part of our
dedicated Engineering & Architecture team, you will work closely
with cross-functional teams to innovate and implement solutions
that uphold our commitment to safety, sustainability, and
excellence in food production. Develop, evaluate, and improve
manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design,
materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production
equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control
standards. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space
requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and
workspace for maximum efficiency. Collaborate with vendors to
determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of
equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to
quality standards and specifications. Estimate production times,
staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for
management decisions. Confer with management, engineering, and
other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production
schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production
processes. Coordinate machinery maintenance and equipment upgrades
to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance. Apply
statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to
determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and
production standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office Knowledge of lean
manufacturing principles and Six Sigma Excellent project management
skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) preferred Lean Six Sigma
Certification is a plus
