At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture. Summary CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Corporate Accounting group. We are looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to play an active role in the financial close process and preparation of periodic 10-K and 10-Q filings with the SEC. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong analytical, problem-solving and research skills, be detail-oriented, with natural curiosity and a desire to learn. Responsibilities

• Perform various financial close responsibilities (monthly, quarterly, annually), including but not limited to journal entries, consolidation, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, variance analysis and other ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Play an integral role in the SEC reporting process, including the preparation of 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K filings, as well as other ad hoc projects that require externally reported financial information.
• Complete XBRL tagging for SEC filings and manage SEC filings within Wdesk, our reporting software.
• Maintain and foster a strong financial controls and risk-minded environment.
• Work with the external auditor in connection with the annual audit and quarterly reviews.
• Assist with other ad hoc projects that require strategic and critical thinking.
• Foster and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting or related field with an accounting course work
  • 3+ years of accounting and/or SEC reporting experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate spreadsheets, create pivot tables and summarize data from multiple sources Additional Qualifications
    • CPA certification or working towards certification
    • Public accounting experience
    • SEC reporting experience, including XBRL tagging
    • Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems
